The festive season at Jumeirah Bali opened on a warm and meaningful note with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Amartha Lobby, followed by the official unveiling of the Kamasan Painting Exhibition at Trowulan. Held on 9 December 2025, the evening marked the beginning of A Festive Journey of Timeless Traditions at Jumeirah Bali, a celebration that weaves together the joy of the holidays with the depth of Bali’s classical artistic heritage.

The night began with a performance by the Bali Music Academy Children’s Choir, whose gentle harmonies filled the lobby with a sense of innocence and celebration. As the Christmas tree was illuminated, the Amartha Lobby glowed softly, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and marking the start of the resort’s festive season in a way that felt both intimate and culturally grounded.

From there, guests were invited to Trowulan for the opening of the Kamasan Painting Exhibition, curated by Balinese art researcher and writer Made Susanta Dwitanaya. The exhibition brings together works by five artists – I Made Sesangka, Ni Wayan Sri Wedari, I Wayan Pande Sumantra, I Wayan Yudara, and Gde Eka Wikananda – each representing a different generation within the Kamasan tradition. Their paintings showcase the form’s distinctive narrative compositions, precise linework, and rich symbolic language, offering insight into a visual tradition that has been passed down for centuries. The opening was accompanied by the resonant sounds of Gamelan Gender, creating a reflective and immersive setting. The exhibition will remain open to guests until 6 January 2026.

Throughout December and into early January, Jumeirah Bali continues this cultural journey with a series of performances inspired by Bali’s classical heritage. Guests can experience the unique rhythms of Gamelan Saron Luang and Gamelan Selonding, as well as a collaborative presentation by Gamelan Sundaram and Manubada Art. Live Kamasan Painting sessions further invite guests to observe the creative process behind this enduring art form, while the programme concludes with a Mandolin with Rindik performance, drawing on melodies rooted in traditional children’s songs.

Complementing the cultural programme, the festive season at Jumeirah Bali is rounded out with thoughtfully curated dining experiences at Segaran Dining Terrace and AKASA Restaurant & Bar, restorative wellness journeys at Talise Spa, and engaging activities for younger guests at Peafowl Kid’s Club. Together, these offerings reflect a festive season shaped by connection, artistry, and the serene coastal beauty of Uluwatu.
