A Strawberry-Filled Weekend by the Sea

There is something wonderfully unexpected about bringing Bali’s highlands to the coast. This September, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach does just that with the debut of its Stroberi Festival, a two-day seaside celebration dedicated to one of Bedugul’s sweetest harvests: strawberries
Taking place on September 5 and 6, 2026, from 4pm onwards, the festival unfolds along the resort’s beachfront, bringing together fresh local produce, creative food, wellness and entertainment in a lively weekend gathering. The event is designed to connect the agricultural richness of Bali’s highlands with the easygoing energy of Seminyak, while inviting both hotel guests and local visitors to join the festivities

The celebration begins on Saturday with a cheerful mascot welcome and an ambitious attempt at creating Bali’s potentially longest strawberry shortcake. From there, guests can wander through food stalls serving strawberry-inspired dishes and refreshing drinks, while Sava Spa brings exclusive pop-up treatments to the beachfront setting. For those looking to slow down as the afternoon turns golden, sunset strawberry yoga offers a wellness-focused moment by the sea and is open to both in-house guests and outside visitors.
The festival is equally welcoming to families. Kids and adults can test their strawberry-eating skills in friendly competitions, while younger visitors can embark on a strawberry-themed treasure hunt or get creative with cupcake decorating. The result is less a conventional food festival and more a playful afternoon designed for lingering, exploring and sharing.
At its heart, Stroberi Festival is also a celebration of local produce and community. As Andreas Bergel, General Manager of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach and Area General Manager of IHG Hotels & Resorts Indonesia, explains, the festival was conceived to connect the Seminyak neighborhood with produce from Bedugul while supporting local agriculture and bringing people together.

Set against the shoreline of southern Seminyak, it is a fitting way to spend a September weekend: strawberries from the cool highlands, sea breezes from the coast, and plenty of reasons to gather around the table before sunset.
