Pullman Bali Legian Beach's Green Heart Returns with a Day of Giving, Nature, and Community

Hospitality is often measured by memorable stays, thoughtful service, and beautiful spaces. But sometimes, its greatest impact happens far beyond the guest room.

This year, Pullman Bali Legian Beach once again reminded us that meaningful hospitality can also be about creating moments of connection through its annual Green Heart initiative—a heartfelt programme that brought together local orphanages, the resort's Heartists, media partners, and nature for a day dedicated to kindness, learning, and shared experiences.

Held on 3 July 2026, the annual event welcomed children from Annika Linden Orphanage, Eben Haezer Orphanage, and Sakinah Orphanage into the resort, transforming what began as a simple donation drive into an immersive day filled with discovery, creativity, and genuine human connection.

Rather than simply handing over donations, Pullman Bali Legian Beach invited the children to become part of the resort's living ecosystem. Throughout the day, they explored Gaia Harmony Park, the property's dedicated conservation space where Bali's biodiversity takes centre stage. Here, nature became both playground and classroom, introducing the children to local flora and fauna, sustainability initiatives, and the importance of caring for the environment through hands-on experiences.

The journey continued into the resort's newly introduced Kids Playhouse, where imagination and movement took over. Designed as an interactive extension of Gaia Harmony Park, the space encouraged curiosity through play, allowing the children to freely explore while creating joyful memories alongside Pullman's Heartists.

Creativity also found its place during a napkin-folding workshop led by the resort team. While seemingly simple, the activity offered the children a glimpse into the world of hospitality, encouraging patience, craftsmanship, and confidence through a fun and engaging experience.

The spirit of Green Heart was equally reflected in the act of giving itself. Clothing, books, toys, shoes, accessories, and everyday essentials—all carefully donated by Pullman's Heartists and media partners—were given a meaningful second life. Beyond reducing waste, the initiative demonstrated how thoughtful reuse can directly benefit communities while encouraging more conscious consumption.

At its core, Green Heart is an extension of Pullman Bali Legian Beach's broader sustainability journey. As part of the resort's ongoing Green Globe commitment, the programme combines environmental responsibility with social impact by promoting circular living, supporting local foundations, and introducing younger generations to biodiversity and conservation in an accessible, engaging way.

What makes initiatives like these especially meaningful is that sustainability becomes something people can experience rather than simply read about. It moves beyond certifications and operational practices into everyday actions—whether through donating pre-loved belongings, volunteering time, or sharing knowledge with the next generation.

In Bali, where community has always been deeply intertwined with nature, programmes like Green Heart feel especially fitting. They remind us that caring for people and caring for the environment often go hand in hand, and that small acts of generosity can ripple outward in ways that last far beyond a single afternoon.

As Pullman Bali Legian Beach continues its annual tradition, Green Heart has become more than a corporate social responsibility programme. It has evolved into a celebration of compassion, sustainability, and togetherness—one that proves hospitality is at its best when it leaves a positive impact not only on its guests, but on the communities and landscapes that make Bali so special.
