A Celebration of Warmth and Togetherness: Bai Yun at The Apurva Kempinski Bali Unveils Its First Hot Pot Festival

This October, The Apurva Kempinski Bali invites guests to experience the comforting art of shared dining with the inaugural Hot Pot Festival at Bai Yun, the resort’s award-winning Chinese restaurant. Perfectly coinciding with Golden Week and the Mid-Autumn Festival, the celebration brings families, friends, and culinary enthusiasts together over steaming broths, premium ingredients, and exquisite flavors – reimagining the beloved hot pot experience with a touch of Balinese sophistication.

Each table at Bai Yun tells a story of connection. The Hot Pot Festival introduces a series of curated dining sets, crafted to suit every occasion and appetite. The Harmony Feast (IDR 628,000++) offers a beautifully balanced selection of premium meats and seafood, while the Sea Feast (IDR 888,000++) dives into the ocean’s finest with lobster, scallops, and artisanal dumplings. For those seeking pure indulgence, the Golden Feast (IDR 1,288,000++) highlights rare ingredients such as Miyazaki A5 striploin, Kiwami tenderloin, and fresh oysters – a true pinnacle of luxury dining. Meanwhile, the Chef’s Signature Set (IDR 998,000++) rounds out the festival with a complete experience of appetizers, Cantonese barbecue, and carefully prepared meats and seafood.

Adding to the excitement, Bai Yun debuts three new broths this season: Duck & Radish, Fish Collagen & Salted Vegetables, and Chicken & Coriander – each bringing a new dimension of flavor and warmth. Every pot bubbles with intention, made to be shared and savored slowly, surrounded by laughter and conversation.

For Executive Sous Chef Ho Weng Kit, the festival is deeply personal. “As a Malaysian chef who has worked across Asia, it is my wish to make this Golden Week and Mid-Autumn Festival feel like coming home,” he shares. “Our Hot Pot Festival showcases the comforting flavors I grew up with, allowing everyone to experience the warmth and beauty of Asian cuisine together.”

Since opening in 2021, Bai Yun – meaning ‘white cloud’ in Chinese – has become Bali’s most celebrated destination for hot pot, known for its inventive broths, premium ingredients, and impeccable service.

The Hot Pot Festival runs throughout October 2025, inviting guests to gather, share, and reconnect over heartwarming flavors and timeless traditions.
