The festive season in Bali comes with its own kind of magic, where warm tropical evenings, island traditions and time spent with loved ones take centre stage. At Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua, Autograph Collection, the year-end celebrations unfold through Timeless Festivities, a seasonal programme of intimate dining experiences, cultural performances and seaside gatherings from Christmas Eve through the first day of 2027.
Set within a Balinese village-inspired sanctuary of 42 private-pool villas, the resort offers a quieter take on the holidays, inviting guests to slow down and reconnect while embracing the warmth of Indonesian hospitality. The celebrations begin on Christmas Eve, 24 December, at the Pool Terrace with Christmas carols, a special appearance by Santa Claus, a dance performance by Amarterra’s own talents, and complimentary cocktails and canapés. The evening continues at Maja Restaurant, where a four-course festive dinner is accompanied by live acoustic music, setting the mood for a cosy Christmas gathering.
On Christmas Day, 25 December, the festivities continue with a family-style dinner at Maja Restaurant, accompanied by a Duo Electone performance. Designed around the pleasure of sharing a meal, the evening offers an opportunity for families and friends to come together over good food and music.
As the final days of the year approach, the celebrations take on a distinctly tropical character. On 28 December, Amarterra by the Bay, the resort’s private beach, becomes the setting for a Year End Beach BBQ, serving premium meats and fresh seafood against the backdrop of the sea. The following evening, Balinese Festive Night at Candra Suriya Gate celebrates the island’s cultural heritage through a festive dining experience accompanied by traditional Balinese dance.
Indonesian flavours take the spotlight on 30 December with Year End Indonesian Flavours, a culinary journey across the archipelago presented through a rijsttafel experience. Showcasing the diversity of the country’s cuisine, the evening is accompanied by live Batak music, bringing regional traditions to the table in a celebration of Indonesia’s rich cultural landscape.
For those ready to welcome 2027 in celebratory fashion, New Year’s Eve on 31 December begins with a pre-dinner cocktail at Candra Suriya Gate before moving to Maja Restaurant for a
family-style dinner. Live music, DJ performances, festive games and appearances by Amarterra’s talents build towards the midnight countdown. Special giveaways, including dining and spa vouchers, add to the excitement, with a complimentary two-night stay offered as the grand prize.
The festivities continue into the new year on 1 January, when Amarterra by the Bay hosts First Flavours of 2027.
