Park Hyatt Tokyo’s Chef Julien Perrinet Brings a Special Afternoon Tea to Andaz Bali

Afternoon tea gets a creative twist this October as Andaz Bali, by Hyatt, welcomes Chef Julien Perrinet, Executive Pastry Chef Asia Pacific at Park Hyatt Tokyo, for a special two-day culinary collaboration. Taking place on 22 and 23 October 2026, the experience brings together contemporary pastry craftsmanship, vibrant fruit flavours and a relaxed island setting for a sweet escape in Sanur.
Hosted at Village Square, Andaz Bali’s communal space inspired by a traditional Balinese village, the afternoon tea offers a fresh take on the familiar ritual. Rather than following a conventional format, the experience features a curated selection of sweet creations and savoury bites, with fruit taking centre stage.
For this exclusive collaboration, Chef Julien draws on his experience across the Asia Pacific region, combining refined techniques with an appreciation for seasonality and the natural character of each ingredient. The menu incorporates premium fruit purées and preparations from French producer Les Vergers Boiron, exploring how vibrant fruit flavours can be transformed into contemporary pastry creations.

The result is an opportunity for dessert enthusiasts to discover a different side of afternoon tea, where thoughtful craftsmanship meets the freshness and versatility of fruit. Set within Village Square’s village-inspired surroundings, the experience offers a laid-back setting for an indulgent afternoon, whether catching up with friends or planning a leisurely culinary date.
According to Maximilien Provis, Hotel Manager of Andaz Bali, the collaboration reflects the resort’s commitment to introducing guests to new culinary perspectives while retaining a distinctly local sense of place. By welcoming talent from across the Hyatt portfolio, Andaz Bali continues to create opportunities for guests to explore different techniques, ingredients and interpretations of contemporary dining without leaving the island.
Available for two days only, the Afternoon Tea Experience by Chef Julien Perrinet is priced at IDR 295,000 net per person. For those looking to add a little sweetness to their Sanur itinerary, it is a limited-time opportunity to experience the pastry chef’s creations in a tropical setting.
