Seminyak mornings often feel best when they start with the ocean close by, the community present, and a clear reason to gather. On Saturday, 11 April 2026, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach partnered with the Asian Surf Performance Academy (ASPA) to host Surf Day Out, a community-driven morning that blends local surf culture with conservation awareness and a practical charity element. Running from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the event is designed as a relaxed hangout where local surfers, families, and hotel guests can connect on the beach.

The morning began with ASPA Surf Training from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, offering two hours of group surf coaching led by ASPA professionals for local youth. A key focus is Inclusive Waves, an initiative built to support community kids through structured instruction and a high-energy group environment, creating space for skill-building and confidence in the water.

From 10:00 to 11:00 AM, the tone shifted into conversation with an Ocean Talk and Community Hangout alongside Bali Ocean Week, covering themes such as plastic reduction, protecting Bali’s “Blue Backyard” of marine biodiversity, and the role surfers can play as guardians of the reef. Running throughout the event, a Board Drive for Rural Surfers with Ombak 4 Hope collects used surfboards, fins, and leashes, which will be refurbished and distributed to talented surfers in remote Indonesian villages.
