W Bali – Seminyak Welcomes Laurens Kritzinger as New General Manager
A new chapter begins at one of Bali's most iconic beachfront resorts as W Bali – Seminyak welcomes seasoned hospitality leader Laurens Kritzinger as its new General Manager.
Effective from 11 May 2026, Laurens takes the helm of the vibrant Seminyak property, bringing with him a wealth of international experience and a people-first approach that has shaped his career across some of the world's most renowned luxury hospitality brands.
Originally from South Africa, Laurens' journey in hospitality began in the exclusive safari lodges of Southern and East Africa, where he developed his leadership style amid some of the continent's most celebrated luxury experiences. His path later led him into the world of lifestyle hospitality with W Maldives, before expanding his footprint across the region through leadership roles in Indonesia and beyond.
Many in Bali's hospitality scene may already be familiar with Laurens from his successful tenure as General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort. During his time there, he was recognised as Marriott Courtyard Global Diamond General Manager of the Year in 2022, a prestigious accolade celebrating excellence in guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and operational leadership. Most recently, he led The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, further strengthening his reputation as a dynamic and forward-thinking hotelier.
Now joining W Bali – Seminyak, Laurens steps into a role that perfectly aligns with his passion for creating memorable guest experiences and fostering strong team culture. He also recently completed a Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and purposeful leadership.
