New Hotels in Bali 2026: 8 New Stays to Know

New Hotels in Bali to Put on Your Radar

From buzzy new addresses in Ubud to beachfront arrivals in Canggu and a fresh take on all-inclusive stays in Nusa Dua, Bali’s hotel scene is having a moment.

Bali has never exactly suffered from a shortage of beautiful places to stay. But 2026 has brought a fresh wave of hotels, resorts and retreats to the island, adding new names, new design concepts and plenty of reasons to plan another Bali getaway.

Some are already welcoming guests, while others are preparing to open their doors later this year. From wellness-focused hideaways to big-name luxury arrivals, here are the new stays worth putting on your radar.

Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud

Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud luxury hotel

Ubud is getting a new dose of Kimpton energy. Set along Jalan Bisma beside the Wos River, Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud marks Kimpton's debut in Indonesia. The 101-key property is designed to combine contemporary, artsy interiors with Ubud's creative and cultural character, with rooms, suites and private pool villas all within walking distance of central Ubud.

The dining line-up is a major part of the attraction, with five venues including Imamura Ubud, an omakase restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Hirofumi Imamura, and Shaku by Imamura, a Japanese izakaya concept. There is also Sakshi Spa, a two-storey fitness studio and recovery facilities.

The only catch? You have to wait a little longer. The hotel is currently listed as opening later in 2026.

Day Light verdict: Put this one on the "watch this space" list.

Regent Bali Canggu

Regent Bali Canggu beachfront resort

Canggu just got a serious luxury upgrade. Regent Bali Canggu opened as the first Regent property in Indonesia, bringing 150 oceanside rooms and suites to the Batu Bolong coastline. The resort combines beachfront living with six dining concepts and what IHG describes as the world's first Regent Spa.

Food is a major part of the story, with restaurants including Cure Bali, inspired by chef Andrew Walsh's Michelin-starred Singapore restaurant, and Taru, which focuses on Indonesian dishes and flavours.

There are also suites with direct lagoon access, a Beach House, Pool Bar and Lounge — essentially everything you need if your holiday agenda consists of eating, swimming and occasionally remembering what day it is.

Day Light verdict: Canggu's new excuse to dress up for dinner.

Paradisus by Meliá Bali

Paradisus by Meliá Bali all-inclusive resort in Nusa Dua

The former Meliá Bali has entered a new chapter. Paradisus by Meliá Bali officially launched in Nusa Dua in May 2026, marking the first Paradisus property in Asia. The beachfront resort has been transformed into a luxury all-inclusive destination while retaining the expansive resort experience Nusa Dua is known for.

The resort caters to both families and adults, with an adults-only The Reserve section alongside family facilities and a substantial collection of dining and leisure options.

In other words, whether your ideal holiday involves doing absolutely nothing or keeping the children entertained from breakfast until bedtime, there is a version of Bali here for you.

Day Light verdict: For travellers who like their Bali holiday wonderfully uncomplicated.

Alaya Suites Ubud

Alaya Suites Ubud contemporary hotel

Ubud has a new reason to check in. Alaya Suites Ubud is the newest addition to the Alaya Hotels & Resorts collection, set in Pengosekan with 45 suites and six one-bedroom villas. The property takes a distinctly design-led approach, with each floor inspired by one of Bali's natural elements — water, earth, air, light and living beings — while references to Wayang Bali and the Balinese Catus Patha philosophy are woven into the architecture.

The dining line-up is equally interesting. Carbón brings Mexican and Peruvian flavours to a live-fire grill, while Baker Butcher Barista takes the all-day dining route with artisan pastries, comfort food and premium cuts cooked to order. There is also a Tequila & Cigar Lounge for evenings, alongside DaLa Spa, a swimming pool and a Technogym-equipped gym.

The result is an Ubud stay that feels contemporary without losing its connection to Bali.

Day Light verdict: A fresh Pengosekan address with enough design, dining and wellness credentials to make it more than just another new hotel.

Hiliwatu Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

Hiliwatu Bali Ubud Tribute Portfolio Resort

For those who like their Ubud escape wrapped in greenery, Hiliwatu Bali Ubud is worth knowing. The Tribute Portfolio resort opened on 15 January 2026, set among rice fields and forest in Payangan. Its collection of suites and villas uses natural materials and handcrafted décor, with floor-to-ceiling windows designed to bring the surrounding landscape into the experience.

The resort has three dining venues, an outdoor pool and Samya Spa, where traditional Balinese healing practices take centre stage. There is also a fitness centre, while an intimate chapel overlooking the landscape gives the property a destination-wedding angle.

For travellers who want to explore Ubud but would rather return to somewhere peaceful at the end of the day, the location offers a quieter alternative to staying right in the centre.

Day Light verdict: Come for the jungle-and-rice-field setting, stay for the excuse to slow down.

Novotel Bali Ubud Resort

Novotel Bali Ubud Resort surrounded by greenery

Ubud's latest resort arrival brings a more expansive take on the jungle escape. Novotel Bali Ubud Resort is located in Puhu, surrounded by the greenery of the Ubud highlands. The property has 159 rooms, along with a swimming pool, restaurant, fitness centre, shuttle service and meeting facilities.

There is also a panoramic-window wedding pavilion designed for intimate celebrations of up to 50 guests, making the resort an option not only for leisure travellers but also for destination events.

As a newer property, the resort is still in its opening phase, with Accor noting that some facilities remain in the final stages of completion. That also means guests are arriving while the property is still finding its rhythm — a particularly interesting moment for those who like being among the first to discover a new address.

Day Light verdict: A new full-service option for travellers who want Ubud's greenery with plenty of resort comforts.

Equipoise Resort Ubud

Equipoise Resort Ubud bamboo villas and rice fields

If your idea of a holiday involves less sightseeing and more breathing, Equipoise Resort Ubud should be on the list.

Set among the rice fields of Kenderan, the adults-only resort is built around the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, with bamboo architecture designed to blend into its natural surroundings. Its villas are positioned to frame the surrounding rice terraces and valley, with private pools turning the landscape into part of the room.

The wellness story continues with Hammana Spa & Wellness, yoga and sunrise immersions, while destination dining and curated artisan encounters add to the slow-living experience. The resort is also close to Manuaba Waterfall, giving guests another reason to leave the villa — eventually.

It is the sort of place where the daily schedule can quite reasonably consist of breakfast, a swim, a spa treatment and absolutely nothing else.

Day Light verdict: For when your definition of a packed itinerary is breakfast followed by a massage.

Avala Nusa Dua, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

Avala Nusa Dua Tribute Portfolio Resort private pool villa

Nusa Dua has a new arrival, and Avala Nusa Dua is bringing a more contemporary personality to the resort enclave. Currently unveiled as a 2026 opening, the Tribute Portfolio property takes its inspiration from Bali's relationship between nature, community and harmony, with a design concept influenced by Desa Penglipuran. Its private pool villas are positioned around a broader philosophy of contemporary comfort meeting local heritage.

The culinary line-up gives the resort another point of difference. Joora Restaurant focuses on Asian-inspired dishes cooked over wood fire, while Jang Table brings contemporary Korean tapas designed for sharing. For more relaxed afternoons, Avala Pool Bar & Beach Club offers drinks and light bites.

Wellness is also firmly on the agenda, with Pravi Spa featuring three treatment rooms, a sauna, ice bath and jacuzzi, alongside a fully equipped gym. A Kids Club adds another layer for families.

There are also curated cultural experiences, including a welcome drink of loloh cemcem, becak rides and other locally inspired activities.

Day Light verdict: A fresh Nusa Dua address for travellers who want the polished resort experience with a little more personality.

A New Chapter for Bali Stays

What makes this latest wave of hotels interesting is how differently they approach the island.

Alaya Suites brings design and culinary creativity to Pengosekan. Hiliwatu leans into Ubud's natural landscape. Novotel offers a fresh resort option in the highlands, while Equipoise puts wellness and bamboo architecture front and centre. Down south, Avala gives Nusa Dua a new contemporary address with a strong food and recovery programme.

And if this is anything to go by, Bali's next generation of hotels isn't just giving us somewhere new to sleep — it's giving us new reasons to slow down, eat well and explore a little differently.
